Yes, it would leak out the weep hole if that were the case. Just checking because we've already had more confusion than we need.

So is it very common for the adapter gasket to leak ?

Are you asking about your leak or the input seal? I've seen the input seal in the adapter leak a few times, but I've never seen or heard of the leak you have.

Found out why it is leaking. The front of the adapter case is cracked right next to the bottom left bolt. The case has about a 2 inch crack that starts at the bottom and goes straight up.

Does anyone like Advanced adapters make a stronger adapter?
